- 26th May - J.F.K. 50 Mile Challenge
The 2013 Sneem JFK 50 Mile Challenge will take
place on the weekend of the 24th, 25th & 26th
May 2013. The Challenge is to complete 50miles
(80km) in less than 20 hours. The walk will start
and end in Sneem village on the Ring of Kerry. It
is a loop walk on national, secondary, regional
and minor roads with three gradual inclines which
are highlighted on the route map.
-16th June - OSullivan Clan Gathering
The village of Sneem in County Kerry welcomes
Sullivans and O'Sullivans and their families and
friends from around the world this June is for a
week of family fun and culture.
June - Sneem Triathlon
The 21013 Sneem Trianthalon consists of a 750
metre swim, followed by a 20.5 km cycle ride and
finally finishing with a 5.5 km run. Visit the

July - Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle
The Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle now in it's 30th
year, is the biggest one day charity fundraising
event in Munster, attracting thousands of leisure
cyclists who will experience a fun and rewarding
days cycling, completing 112 miles of the
spectacular Ring of Kerry, while at the same time
fundraising for worthy Kerry based Charities.
21st July - Sneem Family Festival
5 days of fun for all the family in the beautiful
Ring of Kerry. Activities include, Wife carrying,
Crab fishing & lake fishing, Sheep
shearing, Traditional music and set dancing,
Craft and country market, Street entertainment
Carnival/funfair for the 5 days, Football blitz,
Motorised kayaking and Guided walks.
August - Sneem Regatta
Sneem Rowing Club strives to promote rowing
in the Parish of Sneem and surrounding areas, and
to encourage participation of all age groups.
- 28th October - Geofest Walking Festival
The Sneem Geofest Walking Festival is a 3 day
guided event containing moderate, strenuous and
leisurely historical walks in the Sneem
10th November - Sneem Storytelling
Walk with storytellers to explore the fabulous
scenery and rich local heritage as well as bus
trips to Staigue Fort and Derrynane House, home
of The Liberator, Daniel OConnell.
